I have a bit of a problem. You see, I prefer to finish a game before I write a review of it. Now, I know there are exceptions to this and I don't mean complete the thing 100% but I like to have faced the final boss and seen a credits roll first. This leads to the problem that I don't write too many "current reviews". For example, I'm really itchin to write up a review of Super Princess Peach, but I'm still two worlds away from the end. It shouldn't take too long to beat, I could probably manage it over the weekend, especially with the long boring Sunday morning shift I get to work. On the other hand, I just got a fresh shinny new copy of Phoenix Wright that I want to dive into. I have a bad habbit of forgetting about old games before I finish them in favor of something new. Now, truly great games will overcome this. Metal Gear games, Final Fantasy, hell I beat all three GTAs 100% without stopping (no cheat too), but if the game is only so so, such as say, Beyond Good and Evil, I tend to get distracted. Don't get me wrong now, BG&E is actually a spectacular game. but I was playing it originally as filler. So it's been tossed to the wayside with a bunch of ther games I wish I had time to finish. I guess the moral is, I don't have enough time in the day for all my gaming needs. I should probably try to set up some regular time on the weekend to sit down wth my console, the problem is getting that time to be uninturrupted. I can't exactly run through Devil May Cry with a 7 year old hanging over my shoulder. He would be there, and begging to play. Tags: essay, gaming
